I shared all of the instances of hacking brought up in here with the team and they looked over them! Its hard to break it down for each item since every vulnerability is a bit different but in general we’re migrating more things to server validation which should help resolve a lot of these issues. Since a lot of these issues have to do with core networking code we’ll migrate them into server validation bits at a time. I think we covered this or something very similar in the Oct AMA right? To recap:

1. First I think we would tackle something like this work to make synced lists within just 1 instance easier to implement: 0k34d comments on Rec Room Creator AMA - ask us creator tool / creator community questions!

2. Next might be something across instances of the same room which was the reply to your question in Oct:

3. Once we had those pieces in place maybe someone would start thinking about data / variables across entire rooms.

So I think its safe to say check out #1 and #2 and look at those answers, now imagine #3 most likely being even further out since it seems like we would want 1 and 2 in place first. I’d recommend making a feature request post in the forums here about this though and gather upvotes and support in there, describe why you want this, what kinds of experiences across rooms are you trying to build, etc. That may help the team with understanding the request and prioritization.

2D Canvas Art needs some love!

I definitely think our 2D art creators need a little more love! We’ve been working with props (markers, canvases, etc.) that are really outdated, and can get a bit buggy sometimes. We would love to have a nice, refreshed version of these things, something that nice and easy to use like how the old canvases/markers used to be! With the addition of full-body, the placement of the marker in your hand is VERY wonky It’s shifted so its no longer comfortable to use with the limited mobility. I don’…

No major updates there yet. I believe Chase and others have been working with a few creators to get feedback on designs here and once they have more to share we’ll announce it in an upcoming creator AMA or with a forum post. From what I’ve been seeing internally this work is looking really solid and I think everyone will be super happy once we can talk about it more
