Currently, tube collisions are based on their nodes, which causes inconsistent interactions with objects and players.
Adding an option to switch tube collisions from node-based to mesh-based would make them significantly more practical and versatile.
Right now, I mostly use tubes for decoration—adding detail to floors, walls, or supports. For objects entirely made of tubes, I often have to add a hidden cube or collision volume underneath for proper interaction with players and objects.
For example, the floor in this image wouldn’t work with tubes alone because the node-based collisions make players jump around inconsistently or even fall through.
If mesh or “hull” collision were available, this ground and the bushes in the image would be fully functional and interactive.
This single improvement would be a game-changer for tubes, and I’d use them so much more often!
