After Seeing the AMA, I’m not going to lie, I’m glad the old bean is getting retired. Its an old unoptimized system that was entangled with lots of other things making it hard for devs to add or remove features to our avatars. Max’s explanation of what can be possible now due to not needing to deal with porting things to the old bean was great in the AMA and Honestly I am excited for what the Avatar team has in store in the future. One thing i would love is the actual Roadmap to Avatars with ~Deadlines.

I agree with you, they should keep it, the updates they need to be doing shouldn’t be cosmetics, they should be bug fixes, wether bug fixes for older things in rec room that still exist, or newer ones, and then the new features, they shouldn’t be removing cosmetics unless necessary

I’mma finish this last game I’m making and switch to the better games like fortnite, roblox, minecraft, etc. I already don’t like having to use new bean for my current character, but removing old bean entirely is too much, why not just stop removing things unnecessarily

Horrible update, almost every who uses new bean only use it because they either are using UGC that’s forced behind it, using it to make their avatars a competitive advantage, new players who don’t know any better, or people returning to the game after a while and not knowing how to go back to the old ones. Most old and a lot of the time slightly newer players use the old bean because even THEY say the new one looks and feels weird. I understand the whole thing about trying to replicate the feel and look of the old one, but it still is just in no way the same as the body a good majority of players started with. The physics on the new bean also act drastically different compared to the old one, and all around new one just looks so abnormal with the way the body bends and not even FULL BODY looks THAT bad… A lot of the time when people see players in the new bean body they often think they are clearly just the more clueless players of rec room and unfortunately its true, VERY few times do you see someone who knows even a decent amount or more of rec room use the new bean because even they know its worse.

I’m excited for the new hand option since I preferred the upgraded bean but also liked the classic hand size!
Also something to note, people need to remember that it isn’t OUR game, its REC ROOMS game. We can’t decide what they do unless they want our help, but with this they didn’t need our help. Don’t expect to always be able to make the decisions.
I mean at least we get UGC.
In my opinion, new body is fine
The only thing I would change about it is the hand size (fixing) or the run animation
also when crouched it looks a lil slouched over.
overall I love the thought of UGC but old bean will always be better.

I just need one thing, it’s a minor nitpick..
Change the sprite for the C: mouth and the 
mouth back to the originals. They look horrendous!

I’d like to say that i like the new bean body concept, but i think it’d be best if you all keep both the upgraded bean and the classic old bean. As much as i appreciate you guys trying your best to keep the game alive and enjoyable, but please don’t remove the old bean! I like the animation, the movement, the dance emotes and everything, but i kindly ask you guys to keep both. That’s all I can say, please don’t do anything to remove the classic old bean! Thank you for reading this bah bye!

Nothings wrong with preference, but there’s a fine line where it’s either preference, or straight up complaining. You’re complaining if you want to quit because of it. A preference would be being sad about it, a complaint would be when you get physically angry and upset over a relatively small change.

Please keep the old bean body. We like the old bean body much more than the upgraded and many people will quit. Don’t do this creators rethink your decision!
