Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to be a volunteer Rec Room moderator. I promise to not abuse this privilege should i get it, to not report, ban, or punish players without solid evidence of them violating the CoC or CCoC. I am fully prepared to face the consequences should I abuse moderation privileges. I would work as well as I can, and not put personal relationships before my job.

The only way to become a VMod is to be referred by another VMod whenever they are looking for more. They used to have applications, but it’s been about 2 years since they’ve been open.
Yes Trekkie basically explained it. You can apply when the applications open and in some cases be recommended by other vmods. Keep an eye on the discord announcements in the rec room discord server!
I think the current system that Rec Room uses (having VMods refer people) can be limiting.
If a player wishes to become a VMod and doesn’t know any, selection can be extremely hard to obtain or be noticed.
I hope Rec Room opens up the application in the future, but for now, we’ll just keep checking the ‘announcement’ channel in the Discord.
You dont always have to know the vmod to get referred. They could also just notice you in the rec center or in other public rooms and you could get referred that way too!

To be honest, I rarely see any VMods these days. I tend to see more staff than VMods, but I suppose time zones can be a factor. From my experience, Rec Room is in need of more good quality, attentive VMods.
