How this Video Player would work is it uses CDN URLs but each player has there own CDN url link that links to their videos uploaded and approved by the moderation. ONLY PLAYERS WITH SHARING SCREEN ACCESS HAS IT. if your rr+ you could upload 50 videos under 100MB or if you don’t have rr+ just 10 videos or more. Link Ex:Account name-string of videos name OR random string of 25 or 32 lowercase letters and numbers.mp4.
I like this! Definitely would make media rooms more viable as they wouldn’t become such a high upload size.
However, that may be a lot of work for there to be content moderators on all of the uploaded content.
Wish this would happen for players, I don’t really see it happening though because even with it limited to only people with screen share, moderation would still be insanely difficult, unless the RRS AI Moderation is able to check through videos like how it checks through RRS things in-game? Dunno.
Just open it up to stream Youtube videos. Youtube is already a moderated platform, and is something plenty of other games already have (VRChat, Bigscreen). A native Youtube player inside Rec Room would be groundbreaking and would completely change how players interact with the game.
Urls would be moderated before the upload of said url with RRS AI Checker
