I’ve been noticing a lot of anxiety around AIRS. It seems like the system does have false positives, which seem to result in a ton of headache for users who are unfairly affected. Namely, rooms get closed with no way to preserve any work (the user has no way to access anything in the room anymore.)
This seems like extremely destructive actions for a UGC platform trying to encourage people to build more. What’s worse is that there is little recourse over restoring flagged work. I’ve seen many cases of support tickets refusing to give the user more context over why an invention was flagged, they usually look like this:
So, not great. The user is just told the name of the invention, they aren’t told why it was flagged. I personally have a lot of inventions saved under gibberish names, so knowing the name of the invention wouldn’t narrow down anything for me if I was ever affected.
What are the next steps here? Even just 1 single false positive can be devastating for a creator just trying to make a game on your platform…
