Is there any new information we can receive on the topic of Bean V1 (Bv1) to Bean V2 (Bv2) conversion? I’m currently using the new Bean V2 feature, but I have several friends who wake up in a cold sweat, dreading the fact that one random day their avatars will be completely changed…
I’m sure lots of RR’s loyal fans use FBa/Bv2, but there’s also an undeniable truth that there’s a marginally large group of players who would like to stick to Bv1. What is in store for our avatars as a whole? How does this effect UGC?
also i would love if i could get a good response some other time in-post on this big long rant of mine under “The Messy Middle”. I go over my opinions on lack of trust in Rooms2.0, Rec Room needing to better explain things to their playerbase on more advanced levels, and lack of faith in bug reporting that i see in the community.
Considering that the staff made new maker pen UI For mobile. Is this one of the things the staff plans to support mobile players? And what can we see being supported for Mobile/Tablet Players of Rec Room. Specifically android since IOS Players already have stuff that android doesnt have.
The things IOS has that the Android version doesn’t:
Special home UI when launching the game
Apparently, controller support
certain RROs being on IOS when they aren’t on Android (Rec Royale and Soccer to be exact. Paddleball does not count since it’s a VR Exclusive)
and probably more that I don’t know of because I don’t have an iPhone/iPad to play Rec Room on.
I’d love to hear what the staff plans for IOS and Android. As I am one of the players who unfortunately have to play Rec Room on Android.
Rec Room has had a bug with the latest Windows 11 version 24h2 for months now that causes extremely low download speeds for rooms. In particular, this causes RR Studio rooms to take much longer than normal to load. Currently the only fix is to factory reset the computer and install a no longer officially available ISO of 23h2 or below.
Considering the push for studio rooms, including the new Rec Center which is also impacted by super slow load times on 24h2, is anybody looking into a fix for this issue? Not only are slow load times a bummer, but in some instances it ends up being so slow that the room times out causing crashes that I would assume are impacting performance numbers for creators.
I provided a detailed write up of the issue months ago and have seen no progress.
Depictions of regulated or age restricted material or actions are prohibited including:
Drugs, drug paraphernalia, and drug consumption;
Gambling, casinos, lotteries; and
Tobacco or nicotine including cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vaping, oral pouches and hookah pipes.
When this rule was added, it seemed like there was an insanely heavy handed crackdown on any rooms that contained anything under this purview, yet I’ve seen rooms that feature alcohol and other regulated, age restricted material on the featured page.
Is this rule not being enforced anymore, and if so, why is it still a blanket rule if it isn’t being enforced equally?
I’d recommend instead of a blanket rule, that players MUST add a warning text (which I feel ‘Mature themes’ already encompasses.
Can we please make avatar items stackable? Specifically "headwear’ items and the “shoulder & Back” items. The headwear tab is too broad , some people , me included, want to wear hats WITH headphones, or more than one bow in my hair , or a bandana WITH a cowboy hat. It’s a shame that when making an outfit, I am limited creatively. I can’t wear the strawberry cardigan with the strawberry bag even though they literally look made for eachother but they are both in the “shoulder & back” tab. I think this would help make avatars look more personalized, if we could stack avatar items. :3
Are there currently any plans to add an age verification system to Rec.Net? It would be nice to be able to lock your rooms to be 18+ only, with lighter restrictions. I just feel like there’s a larger adult community that plays this game that would like to have restrictions be a little more lax in their rooms, and avoid having to wade through seas of children.
Are there any plans to limit the usage of Maker AI in creative programs like contests, featured rooms, etc.? Such as rooms that utilize Maker AI having a tag you cannot remove similar to #rrstudio, and not being eligible for Build Contests, Featured Rooms, or Room Rewards?
My question is…Will the featured rooms tab ever be moved? I genuinely believe the row needs to be visible on the “Home” page above the recommend rooms. I also believe it should be moving automatically in a revamped way it used to back in 2021.
Hello!! My question for the Q&A is related to rec.net, will there be any changes? I’ve noticed it’s been the same few creators at the top and there is sometimes arguments in the comments. I was wondering if there could maybe be restrictions in some sort of way to avoid repetitiveness. I miss when rec.net used to be filled with photos actually took in the moment instead of promotions for more subs.
Is the Remote Video Player that was shown off in ^AtlasTechDemo ever going to be added back in the game in any way shape or form, and if not, why?
Currently if we want to play videos in our rooms we either need to use the Desktop Sharing Screen (Which does not exist in Rooms 2.0, only operates at 3FPS and is only allowed in private instances) or the Video Player component (Which is limited to playing preset videos that take up precious file size).

Your friend’s voting is a bit sneaky though. If they were just someone that was downvoting questions they didn’t like, that would be fine! I downvote a fair bit myself due to many questions in this Creator AMA not being creation-related as the original post says they must be. But by downvoting just every comment that isn’t yours, they are basically bringing everyone further down indiscriminately to give you a “second” vote.
Imagine if that was done on the scale of a big Rectuber bringing this AMA to their community’s attention, it would be plenty acceptable for them to say “Hey everyone, come read all this and upvote or downvote posts you do or don’t like!”, but very frustrating and unfair to all the other participants if they said something like “Hey everyone, come get my comment specifically to the top any way you can” and instead allowed their community to do it by any means necessary like downvoting everyone else’s comments in addition to upvoting the Rectuber’s. That’s not to say you’re siccing this person on these other comments, but @MAX303 you should think about this and vote more thoughtfully in future please.
