Submit your questions here for the upcoming Creator AMA (Ask Me Anything) with Gribbly, Chief Creative Officer of Rec Room, following his keynote at Rec Con! The AMA will be hosted in the Creator Hub Discord on Wednesday, October 2nd, at 3PM PT (6PM ET / 10PM UTC). You’ll find us in the Creator AMA voice stage channel under the general channels section.
This is your chance to ask Gribbly follow up questions after his Rec Con Keynote. To make the most of this AMA, we encourage thoughtful, creative, and well-constructed questions. Questions can also be on other Rec Rom creation topics, you don’t have to just stick to stuff from Rec Con 2024.

Is r2 getting any new gadgets/components/circuits id really like to see some new stuff like costumes or a circuit that enable/disables player rotation, also a recommendation for a component [widget buttons for makerpen] idk how h
Good this recommendation is but just food for thought,
In rec room there isn’t really a good, efficient, non-janky way to do projectiles which send an event upon impact besides of course the projectile launcher. would it ever be possible to an event receiver that fires whenever a unity particle system collides with an object? this would either be an event receiver only inside it’s object board or a global event receiver that outputs when any particle system in the room makes collision. (sorry for long question)
Will Avatar Studio allow us to gift our creations to friends and distribute them via circuits, similar to the current RecCon where consumables are available when doing certain actions and rooms like the Android room where you can receive cosmetics upon entering?
Firstly, thank you for all the information and transparency inside the keynote, I’m glad to know you are actively listening to the community and what we have to say.
My question for you is do you guys have an expected ETA for the introduction of the double shot as a feature and the release of Crescendo on the Quest series? Thanks once again
Will we ever get a feature to connect multiple nearby tubes by using the select tool to choose what tubes we want to expand so we could do something like expanding 2 tubes next to eachother to make a rollercoaster track or making cool patterns
Can we make sure RR empowers it’s community with the tools for better Conceptual Creating? Thrilled to see the expansion of tools for building and circuits, but I’ve always felt an absence of focus on elevating the communities big picture thinking in the creation process. We need classes and discord channels that teach and support the processes that lead to Game/Experience Design Documents if we want to raise the overall quality of creating in RR. Thanks!
Is there ever going to be a chance where you make the mic clearer on Quest to make it sound like console and PCVR? Because it’s muffled for Quest users, but in the Quest parties, it’s clear. So will you guys ever do it?
