Welcome to the Creator Forums: Please Read

Welcome to the Creator Forum! This tool is still in the works so if you have access to this, you’re some of the first people to test it out! Right now we are currently using it to collect bugs on Rooms 2.0 and get site and forum feedback, but eventually we will open more topics to more users and use the Creator Forum to announce new features and host more conversations. These are our goals for the Creator Forum:

Place to share ideas or just get help:

While we are starting out with using this just for Rooms 2.0, we want this to be a hub for all sorts of topics. It’s not just a way for us to communicate with you, but for the community to talk to each other as well. Whether it’s creators helping creators solve an issue, or just voicing your opinion on certain announcements/news, we want this to be a hub of much conversation.

Single place to find updates with history and optimized searchability:

Let’s be real - it’s hard to keep track of all the conversations across all of our platforms. For you and us. We’ve previously used multiple discord channels to do this, but that conversation gets lost with all the chatter. That’s why having a hub that consolidates and centralizes most of the conversation is so important. With the search functionality and tags, our hope is that it’s easy to find updates on features, announcements and common issues.

Clear statuses on your bug reports:

Previously, we’ve used Zendesk as our bug reporting tool, but there wasn’t enough feedback to the users on what the status of their bugs were. With the R2 bug reports, we will be taking the top 10 upvoted posts and providing updates on the status of them either through tags or comments. We want to support the most commonly highlighted issues and by utilizing the upvote system, both the community and our team is able to keep track of what’s being prioritized.

Direct interaction with Rec Room to feel more heard:

Our staff members will be commenting on posts as they see fit so you can have open conversations with them! Keep in mind, there will be a lot of conversation to keep up with, but we will do our best to stay involved where it makes sense.

We are so excited to use this as a platform to drive connection within the community and with us.

Feel free to comment on this post with any questions and feedback you may have as we continue to build out this forum! Feel free to check out this guide if you have any other questions or just ask us!
