R1 bugs - what are your top R1 bugs and frustrations?

Howdy everyone! We got some great feedback from the community on the top R2 bugs in this thread a few weeks ago. Now we want to know your top R1 bugs and frustrations. Please let us know:


What are the biggest bugs and issues you are having with R1 rooms right now? Or what are the biggest issues you see players having in your R1 rooms? We’re interested in this from the creator side and the player side.

The amount of crashes on screen mode.

Can you call out a specific room or set of rooms by name here that we can look into?

Also just a general reminder that you can report room crashes and send us you log file of the crash (which helps a lot) using Settings > Misc > Bug report

I don’t know if this is just me but the hitboxes in my dorm room don’t work resulting in me getting trapped in a death loop everytime I go to my dorm

Yea I do not like container thing because

It was very confusing and very glitchy

Many of the circuits wouldent work right and some I could not find

I dont have access to the room anymore, but its called PalmPointRP and I used to crash before we saved

Sometimes I try to place an invention with cv2 but for some reason it doesn’t spawn it but only the shapes/models (encountered today 2 times)

When loading into a room V1 room on lower-end hardware, sometimes the storefronts will not load. This will cause any other players who join the room not see the storefronts. This has caused me to lose so much potential revenue in our room ^Station-X

Just to make sure I understood this correctly, is this only when the Room Authority is a lower-end system?

Since a while now the servers can not handle high activity that well. Often enough for all players on any map the instance would break, everyone gets a Black screen & gets dormed.

This can be pretty frustrating for hot rooms or events

  • Stage light v2 not in R1.0
  • Can’t spawn 2.0 inventions in 1.0 when there’s not even any R2.0 features in them (Circuits especially)
  • Can’t toggle the player joined/left screen notification

That’s about it for me

In any R1 game, vehicles have a window color issue, if I recolor the truck for example the windshield with turn into a solid color making it non-see through

Top 3 personally:
Storefronts do not work at all for most items other than clothing.

And for people who still use a game chip for stuff like better hit boxes and team outfits, the respawns sometimes don’t work anymore, and you stay in the dead position.

Refresh instance gives a 50/50 chance of crashing everyone (both rooms 2.0 and rooms 1.0)

Instability was and still is a massive issue, no clue if it’s related to game updates, room saves, or whatever else might cause it but some rooms (now deleted) have been unjoinable, Saves would crash my game or just not save ( I once had to sit in a room and try to save every 10m until finally one went through to not lose my progress because recovering wouldn’t work. )

Constant lag issues on VR, I don’t exactly know if it’s just my headset, but there are HUGE lag issues, especially with the makerpen. I open the pallete and I get greeted with the game freezing for 5-10 whole seconds, which is WAY too much. Please fix and optimize this game for VR players. (also crashing issues occasionally)

When saving a room the player orientation completely breaks on screen mode, the player model, hitbox, and audio will start flying around every 4 seconds. This can get bad if the player game has an anti cheat. A follow up: stuff like circuits will vanish if the game is well made and the menu will almost completely break, if the game has anything resulting player action, it will break after a save meaning a game reboot

I’ll follow up and state something I’ve encountered in ^LaserTag (even had it affect myself before).

It is possible for the game to put the player into the invulnerable “downed” state but the player is still able to move and attack others. Often times the player is completely unaware of the situation as it isn’t relayed to them (they still see their own HUD overlay).
