No one wants your dumb new bean body everything that includes building with avatares will completly break and cv2 can break this will bring major problems to the building community and upset alot of people not counting the ones that are, people building and doing cv2 are still complaining that everything is breaking short story short the new forced bean will break the game and community permenently and mass amount of people will leave the game due to your incompetent idea everyone warned you guys but you kept forcing it if this game dies out permently you should understand why it happend

Man, this exploit has been around for over a year, and there’s not even a reliable anti-cheat for it? I’m not very knowledgeable about that stuff either. Responding in Dodgeball, about the top 400, etc. What I mean by that is, if people who play this competitively don’t agree with something the majority doesn’t agree with, they don’t agree with it either. There’s a reason.
Is that cheat fixed? What about the Fast Infinity Shoy Script? The Timestop? The anti-voice ban, which is still available, and for which there’s literally no current fix?
Keeping both new and old bean is very unsustainable. They’d have to constantly be checking and making up for bugs and incompatibilities with 2 different systems instead of 1. I wish they’d look further into tricks to make new bean feel more like old bean for you guys while still being mostly the same on the programming side, but i feel like that’s either not toooo feasible, or not worth the resources to Rec Room.

As someone who doesn’t like most new changes to this game, the new bean body isn’t even that bad. I’ve been using it for a while now and i really like the extra customization. I had a problem with my avatar not really looking like me at all and now that i can adjust the body/face shape to my liking it looks a lot better.

Why would they need to ask for permission to add it? It’s their own game. As an analogy, imagine asking your parents for permission to drink when you’re already 21 and have moved out.
The community’s opinion should be sought.
Fun fact: All the significant visual changes made to upgraded beans were due to community feedback from people who provided detailed and specific feedback, allowing the art team to know what should be tweaked.

This is a positive, as it shows that the rec room is actively listening to its community. By no means, though, is this a commitment to “we will always listen to community feedback and take all suggestions.” They review a suggestion, consider it, and then decide whether to add it.
If everyone uses it, it’s because they prefer it.
This is an example of trying to argue for a scope larger than what you are capable of. While you may see that long-time members of the community do prefer the old bean, you yourself can only see so many humans in a day; there are thousands of players in the rec room at any given time.
What about people using full-body avatars? What about people on the newer bean that you haven’t just seen? What if those long-time members or tryhards prefer the newer bean body? You can’t speak for an entire crowd when the crowd has differing opinions.
Rec Room’s stupid intention of including exclusive things only for the new Bean and Full Body
All additional features added to the upgraded bean body were implemented after the rec room had already announced that they would be deprecating the older bean body avatars. This wasn’t because they didn’t want to add new features to the old bean; they didn’t want to spend additional development time adding features to something they knew they would remove anyway.
although it’s already been shown that with the new hackers out there, Rec Room doesn’t care.
Unrelated but they do, it hurts their bottom line after all. They are currently working on moving away from EAC (Which hackers had already bypassed long ago) and are working on making a newer version of Referee which is in the kernal level, like how EAC was, just now made by the Rec Room Developers themselves (Confirmed by gribbly in a discord community AMA)
Creating a whole-kernel-level anticheat, however, is a monumental task. Hence, it’s taking time for it to arrive.

So, what of the costume dummy? I have a LOT of outfits saved on my pin, and with this removal of the old bean every single one of them will be messed up and outdated. I’m open to change, but this is drastic. A good portion of the player base still casually used the original bean. I don’t understand why you can’t just keep it when you have for this long.

Damn, I also apologize for how rude I was at times, it’s just the desperation of making a movie for 8 months, and now we have to re-record the whole thing… Second, most new players don’t get past level 20, and they leave, I don’t think it’s the best way to give an opinion on whether you like something or not, it’s not that new players like it, it’s that it comes automatically to them in the game, so they don’t notice. The community thing is that it’s exaggerated, really. I love this game, and I think it’s horrible having to argue over people, who unfortunately, neither you, nor me, nor anyone. They will listen to them, third. When I refer to asking the community for their opinion, it’s because it’s going to affect the CV2 part, as a guy here commented, the more competitive side of the game, OG players, like me, who hate the new Bean, and now even more so, when there’s no choice. I’m so sorry, but seeing how Rec Room is going, I know this isn’t going to change the game’s performance or its improvement. They’re digging their own grave. Still why force us into it now if they still don’t have it fully completed? Once they emulate the 1:1 then they can remove classic but until then they should keep it.

Here’s another thing though they are putting all this effort into the new bean body and forcing us to use it. Where’s the anti cheat they have been promising us? When are they gonna start doing about people doxxing? Like they are working on something that doesn’t even need to be worked on. But I guess putting in a new anti cheat is a waste of RR resources time and money.

The old bean was very buggy and made the game laggy due to how they originally created it, these updates are them trying to make the community happy, there trying there vest like damn.

I don’t understand why people say not to hate on the upgraded Bean, claiming they tried to make it feel the same. If that was really the goal, they should’ve just recreated the old one exactly as it was. Honestly, I don’t get why they didn’t do that—why not just make the new model look exactly like the original, fix the issues the old one had, and give us a version that’s visually identical but technically improved? That way, we’d still have the classic look everyone loves, but with better performance. Seems like a win-win.
And if the reason you can’t do this is because your company is struggling, maybe it’s time to rethink the changes you’re making. Start considering everyone—not just creators and investors.

I am inclined to say that you are wrong because the old beans have been a thing and were designed to run on computers back in 2016. Rec room at the time would literally have no room to have buggy logic for it without making the game run like garbage. If old bean was laggy they would not be as popular as they are now because everybody would stop playing the game from the lag.

This is pretty sad to see, but I’m glad quite a few of the changes discussed in the RRSL server are being implemented here. Any chance we can see fixes for the jumping/teleporting while low to the ground?

When i say laggy i mean arent as optimised as the new bean, for instance the old bean loads all the thing in the bean at once even things that arent in frame or items hidden, but new bean doesnt load those items that arent visible causing less lag and more fps

Wydm they had a choice they should’ve leave it alone like the laser tag guns and paintball guns etc, now were getting stuff we didn’t asked for this is why the game is slowly dying because they don’t listen.
