I couldn’t care less about how good or how ugly the new bean looks. It’s mostly about the feel, especially for quests. Terrible change.

Answer: use Rooms 2.0 instead of rooms 1.0
I’m so happy to see this happen~ Bean V1 is amazing and all- but as soon as we got Bean V2, I never went back. Huge praise to RR and its teams for making this change, it’s definitely a hard one and you’re all doing great.
To the Bv1 players: I’m happy for you who are trying Bv2 sooner than later; for the ones who are crybabies; quitting makes you childish as heck. Really immature side of the community stems from Bv1, so I’m glad they’re removing it. To Rec Room; the kids that you lose from this won’t affect you. You’re actually solving 2 problems at once; Bean V1 being outdated, and removing most of the toxic Players!!

I really like the new bean alot, but i think it is very unthoughtful to force people over before having fixed the jumping animations being goofy for players crouching or crawling in VR, and i think we desperstely need eyes and glasses height sliders. At the moment swapping to new bean smooshes your face together because the new eyes and glasses height are affected by your nose height, even if you don’t have a nose! Fix this first for the love of god pleeaaassseeee
*also the “hide my torso” button just does not work. I don’t think it jas since new bean’s debut. This is an important feature that i am shocked is still not functional.

To be honest you guys should’ve kept it how it was it allows your players to pick which one they like. Also, all the outfits that has been made overtime was made towards the old bean body so now all those outfits must be remade because you guys decided to force everybody into the new bean body. In my view you guys are going to lose many players because of this decision you should’ve allowed us to keep both and allow the players the preference they wanted. But you force players to wear these new bean body’s ones that sickens them because of how they look with the face features and animation.
I see no benefit in forcing people into these new beans I see more of a loss in profit more than gains.

Dude, u can’t be serious right now. Positive comments look like bots. When you enter a rec center, everyone’s using the old bean, and those using the new one are just because you can use a stupid mask. I’m not saying they should remove the new bean, but NO ONE has complained about the old one. Instead of fixing the issues of cheating, doxxing, and being over 18, they’re going to update this nonsense, And there are idiots defending the idea that there’s not even a chance of keeping it. It’s not because of nostalgia, it’s just that the new Bean looks horrible. In the Hispanic community, I’ve seen very few people using the new Bean, and in the English community the same. For example, I have an ENTIRE team making a fucking movie, and now, because of some tremendously stupid update, am I going to have to change all the scenes and re-record them? You’re going to lose a ton of players because of this nonsense. None, none of the creators of this game, represents, no will they represent the community.

Tell me, tell me who ordered it. I haven’t seen almost anyone using it. You walk into the rec center and it’s packed with people using the OLD BEAN, and those who use it are doing it for the exclusive crap you can get with that damn idiot bean.

- I have been using it, just because you don’t see people using it from your perspective doesn’t mean it isn’t there.
- They are upgrading the bean so that they can incorporate the new features that FBA has implemented in the new bean. This isn’t a matter of exclusivity; it’s a matter of reducing development times and optimizing where the old approach failed. They would rather have one system that is easier and more optimized, working for both bean and full-body avatars, rather than having to work on two separate systems made for a different time frame. This is the basis for object-oriented programming.

I agree with some of the comments that the new bean is okay, but completely removing it is unfair to those of us who want the old bean to stay.
I think they should keep the old bean as an option. So far, there have been no issues with its inclusion, and I don’t understand why it needs to be removed. It would be easy to keep it as is and perhaps even start releasing old bean items again to continue generating revenue.
Instead of sticking with the classic version of the game and making it easier for yourself, you’ve chosen to follow a path that we’ve been asking you to reconsider for years. We want the game to be like it used to be, and perhaps even revert to the version we loved, which would bring back all the dedicated players.
However, your current approach has led to frustration among the community, causing many to dislike the game and not even want to discuss it anymore. Why not listen to us and restore the game to what people once enjoyed?

Sure it looks terrible, but seriously.
Try to trust the process, later on they will eventually emulate the 1:1 feel of it to the upgraded bean.

Trust? Like when they were going to improve Dodgeball and it was unplayable for months? Like when they promised they’d improve the anti-cheat system and now, in every important room, there’s a cheater with a backpack exploit? I’m not going to trust liars, on top of that they have not shown any change.

i think you lost the point of the whole “upgrade” part once you started letting your emotions take over.
you started mentioning things that werent even related to avatars, completely unrelated.
why do you think rec room needs to go through the community to make decisions? thats just stupid
no they are going to make decisions that best fit their needs for the game, and if that means putting the full body avatars and bean body avatars under the same house. They are going to do that
and it isn’t like they haven’t been making an attempt to fix it, the amount of progress shown is already enough to justify some credit. Take a look at when the upgraded beans were first added compared to where they are now. Much more notable improvement compared to they have started with
Whining, screaming, cursing out, and insulting the developers as well as others isn’t going to make change. It ruins your argument because you don’t provide anything constructive. Nobody wants to listen to a person who is a jackass.
If you want change, learn how to write constructive criticism; learn to debate without being toxic.

My message has been deleted. I’ll just tell you, referring to the avatars, and ignore your passive-aggressive attitude. The new bean, no one asked for it. When something that affects the competitive community of different games is going to be removed: Dodgeball, Paintball, etc., the community’s opinion should be sought. There are many things that can be done before removing the old Bean, which, if everyone uses it, it’s because they prefer it. Even with Rec Room’s stupid intention of including exclusive things only for the new Bean and Full Body, it’s because… Maybe the decision wasn’t to unnecessarily improve a Bean that was popular, was comfortable, and that would have been more attractive with things like new skins, etc…? You can enter Dodgeball, Paintball, and Cresendo right now. If you find any Tryhards with New Bean, I’ll shut up. This change is going to attract a wave of criticism, although it’s already been shown that with the new hackers out there, Rec Room doesn’t care. And I’m sorry if you felt insulted, but believe me, emotions aren’t talking. Otherwise, it would be even more disrespectful. Now, to digress, I have to say that I’ve responded to more than that.

This game is too polished to be improved, it does not look like there would be anything else to be added.
This is a common exploit involving using CheatEngine to swap prefab values with any spawnable item such as ShareCam, FeedbackTool, any other thing that can be spawned through your backpack.
Of-course that’s patched in normal versions so there is always a time where someone shows off their funny “Cool Guy” engine even though that this is just CE with a different driver.
For the backpack spawns, they are just prefabswapping a rec royal system.
