Please add an eyewear position slider!
One of the major problems with upgraded bean body is that any piece of eyewear is on the same slider as the nose and facial hair slider, and has been shifted up, meaning you can’t move eyewear without also moving the nose and your mustache. This really makes a lot of players outfits look unsettling and different from what they had/preferred. Upgraded bean has been missing
This adjustment since they released it, and adding those sliders would make upgraded bean more customizable than ever, which is what rec room is wanting with the final result.

the older bean used math, sliders, and a bit of rec room styled jank to determine where to put the avatars, equipping avatar items was done by attaching prefabs to them without doing any sort of skin culling
the newer bean just uses the same avatar and rig system that FBA avatars have.
by putting both the newer bean and full body bean under one avatar system, they can just make a new feature for one avatar type and have it work for both.
the whole reason they are making the upgraded bean isn’t just to purposefully spite the rec room community, it’s just so they can reduce development times by creating a new feature for both at one time.

Not sure how that’ll fix the problem and also we can’t do that because we already have the sets made in rooms 1, plus rooms 2 is harder for us to use for this stuff. Thanks for the suggestion, I do appreciate it but I’m not sure it’ll work for us unfortunately. Thankfully we did find somewhat of a solution though, so hopefully things will go smoothly now.

Yall I don’t hate the new bean but I just love the classic too much, just keep giving us the option to use classic bean, forcing us to switch to a new version will drive away older players and discourage returning players, if this change goes into effect I will probably also stop playing, just give us the option to choose for ourselves

That’s why a lot of people are complaining. They are wasting resources and time on something nobody wants instead of what’s more important. They haven’t given us the anti cheat they promised us events are still getting hacked constantly. They haven’t stopped people using slurs doxxing breaking RR COC. But they sure can waste time on the new bean body. This is why Rec Room is dying because they promised us things months ago and we are still waiting and there never going to do it.
Rec Room events will keep getting hacked for years to come Rec Room will keep coming out with updates that useless and won’t give us what’s needed.
Im a moderator in a Family Feud map and I gotta sit in spawn bored for 2 hours watching for hackers because Rec Room doesn’t want to update the things that needs to be.
I play RR to have fun and enjoy myself but no I can’t because I have to be on the lookout for hackers cause Rec Room is to lazy and doesn’t direct there resources to the right issue.

so costumes will be fixed right? or is it being released undercooked like everything else. people arent mad over the feature itself, they’re mad over the quality of the release and how actual feedback is being handled

Few criticisms I have with the current version of new bean:
- the pointer finger is too obvious when you’re not pointing. I feel it should be like the old bean and new bean mixed together, where the finger is not visible when you’re not pointing, but you still see whatever glove you have on when you do point.
- its too bendy. I think it should be less bendy and more stiff like old bean was.
- screen mode player idle animations for both new bean and FBA should not be visible on VR. It doesn’t perform well on most platforms and lags out the game.

as someone whos litsens to the players so many people want the old beans they wanted better stuff for the beans not a whole new one but if thats what rec room wants to do might as well they never litsen

This is not a smart move at all.
First of all V1 bean is completely optional, people that don’t like its appearance or visual can just disable it and stick with V2 which is the bean that you start with either way.
Removing V1 is removing customization for players when it is completely unnecessary.
Second of all many games will stop working, Sword Fighting community specially will feel a blow.
Since the V2 bean just isn’t capable to follow through with the movement of those specific games.
If this update comes trough make it so we can have the old walking animation.
The new one feels awkward and even disorientating to look at specially in faster games.

I personnaly dont see the point in this update the new bean and the full body dont look good imo and i like old bean this remindes me of when they removed inverted tubes so we couldend make glass effects the way we wanted to.
