We are looking into this right now. We think the environment generation system is cool, and it should be possible to expose a bunch of the parameters for manual use. Actual vertex sculpting of the terrain is unlikely, but plenty of other control should be possible.
some of the people that have been following with avatar studio and UGC Clothing know that someone made a clothing item that features the chest area for women. but then was asked to change after talk within the dev team but then was allowed again. can you explain why this has happened?
Ok so this’ll be somewhat off topic from all the good & questionable things released/announced this month so I do apologize for the inconvenience , but I’m sure you’ve all have seen the not so great feedback from the community on the sequence of updates & features we’ve received recently. I want to request/propose that the devs or creative director who is in charge of the direction in which the game that we all love btw shed some light on why the game is head the way it is heading, because I PERSONALLY can understand that we as the community don’t know all the behind the scene efforts & visions for the future benefit of the game so the devs may have to make some decisions that go against what the community wants to get the financial situation of the game back on track & or massively profitable. But I’m an outlier among the crowd while most are ignorant of such possibilities whether willfully or not, so I just want to ask that there be some sort of explanation to the community as a whole on where you guys see the game heading & why the devs are taking the creative direction they’re headed towards.

Are there any plans for more curated creator programs other than featured rooms? For example, as more creators get access to Avatar Studio will certain items get featured in the store or will Avatar items be recommended based on an algorithm?

player property is coming very soon in R2. (Along with the chips to set/get it.)
It doesn’t do anything to player collision though… don’t think we currently have plans for that.
@Bloonkii This isn’t something that we’re currently working on. (It’s been a common request, though!)
If we were to do it, I think we’d probably look at Player Properties as a place to put it. There, the paradigm (and technical backing) already exists for managing a synchronized value which is associated with the player, and has direct effects on Rec Room systems. But I’m just speculating.

One of the best things about building in Rec Room is that your content is available on so many different platforms! However, that does come at a cost in that we sometimes need to limit what you can do so that said content is available on those diverse platforms. This is one of those cases. Holes in Unity terrain require some shader functionality that isn’t (or at least wasn’t at some point) compatible with some mobile devices.
However, we should revisit this decision. What was true a few years ago may not be true now. This is good feedback!

The ability to see the ink or, in this case, the memory in room 2, can be helpful because it’s hard to know if the room is too full or not. Also, I would like to take the opportunity to ask if we could have a circuit to unload builds, like addressables in Unity.
Will we ever get the ability to create and play character animations on players?
I have been keeping up to date on many of the competing platforms of rec room and I believe adding more accessibility to the players User Interface and avatar could boost the potential of rec room becoming a higher value platform.
We’d like to offer semesters using both Room V1 and V2, so students can choose their preferred version. The differences between them are minimal, so it won’t impact learning

we’ve heard nothing new about new bean or FBA after max mentioned “personas” few amas ago. so this question is simple, what feature is being worked on that is closed to being finished and be expected to come out according to gribbly, Soon™
