Hey @BeautifulLion298 , here’s a tutorial by “bacon” which gives you a detailed tutorial on how to make a skybox!
RRS Team:
Is there any plans for unity collision events? For example Particle Collisions. As @NGCreate has mentioned, This would be great for custom projectiles without needing to use the projectile Launcher to send hit events.
Will RRS reach a full potential of Unity code? As in every feature Unity has that we can use and publish using RRS? (I don’t actually have access to RRS I’m just curious )
when is cresendo 2 releasing?
Will broadcast events get more developed and accessible (easier to apply for) in the near future?
Will there be more animation easing styles? Like Elastic, Bounce, Exponential, etc.
RR Team: Will there ever be shader graphs?
when will rec room studio be released to everyone
Yes is will be bc pico 4 using quest 2 settings and recroom for vr its for quest 2
Will rec room on switch be optimised for the switch with the maker pen as this will cause over heating if not
we can talk about this one more at the AMA but to get into it quickly the current state of the streamer cam is: " The streamer camera is only available on PC when using a VR headset, or on PC screen mode if you have at least 2 monitors." full info here: https://recroom.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/4423896304407-Using-the-Streamer-Cam
Here’s a photo of my beautiful dorm room showcasing me using the streamer cam on my PC via Steam with two monitors. The reason we need two monitors is because the streamer cam doesn’t actually record anything to your PC. It just creates a new camera view that you can then capture. So you need one view to operate the camera and your character, and a second view to capture the streamer cam view.
It might be possible to overhaul the streamer cam to support a single monitor but it would mean a major re-write of that system. Something where the player freezes and their inputs go into controlling the camera. Which would also require a different UI solution of some sort to appear on top of the camera feed when needed. I dont think its impossible but it would be a lot of work. In the meantime - most every PC will support at least dual monitors now and you can find cheap monitors online or locally, so using the streamer cam on PC (or a laptop with an extended monitor) should be within reach for most people hopefully.
Questions for the Creator AMA need to be creation focused. Is there a creation component to this question? It looks like a player facing question.
Thanks for telling me this
Many players like myself preferred the old maker pen ui so… will the maker pen UI ever change again?
Logged this question thanks! FYI there’s a feature request on it already here if you want to add your vote and thoughts Inverted Tube Feature
I know the answer to this from internal discussions is - limits v2 is not coming back. it was a test for R2 rooms which is where that work is going forward, and we did double room ink in R1 rooms after removing limits v2: Double Ink Limits
but I’ll cover this during the AMA too
Gribbly answers this question here. TLDR: We’re not bringing back the weekly items system in the format it existed in before, but we are thinking about how we can revamp this system and our player progression systems for the UGC world Rec Room lives in now.
I’ll cover this briefly during the AMA. The question isn’t exactly related to creators so normally we wouldn’t take this since its more player facing, but since a new potential system might be more involved with UGC / rooms I’ll cover it quickly.
Can you phrase this in a way so that it relates to creators? what are the issues creators are hitting with the current keyboard?
can you clarify this question plz? are you asking what new ways creators might be given coming up to monetize their rooms or creations? reminder - questions for the creator AMA need to be creation focused, so token earnings relating more to players like RROs or buying them from the Store would not be something for the creator AMA to answer but rather the more general Rec Room AMAs we also run.
Can you rephrase this question? I’m not sure what you’re asking.
