I feel like there used to be this strong identity to what constituted RecRoom’s main gameplay loop which used to be grinding pvp games to get tokens. But now LT, paintball, bee fortnite, and all the rest have sorta fallen to the way side to custom room content which while cool has never really been on the caliber of existing RROS as far as a gameplay standpoint goes. Like there’s a few clever use of mechanics for puzzles and stuff people can make but no one can make more laser tag maps and have it be in the pool of maps to be played to still get LT tokens.
We just need like one massive update to all the old games, new maps/game modes etc
add CTF to LT, add another map to paintball, do something with the old “core” content
feels like everyones so lost in the woods the cant see the forest for the trees, like yeah player numbers are going up but its mostly the revolving door type “oh thats cool” players that stick around a month and quit, vs having something substantive for long time players to gnaw on.
or atleast if you are going to make all these custom rooms let players community vote in the best maps to implement as LT/paintball maps
