The way old weekly challenges were meant for a game that was somewhat more focused on how many players were playing the RROs and you could reward them for playing those accordingly. The main reason they were taken out of the game was that more players were focused on playing UGC content than the RROs and some players did not know what the “Weeklys” was.
So what you could do to make them more UGC is have players be able to submit UGC content made by Avatar Studio to have a chance to be a weekly, and for the challenges you could have players submit rooms to be a weekly challenge. Whether it be staying in a room for 10-15 minutes, or completing something within the game. You could give players a new circuit to allow completion of the weekly. One could stay in the room for 15 minutes, or one could be for more circuit-oriented players and have them be able to execute the circuit once they complete the objective.
I feel that it would be a new way to do weekly challenges without as much effort as having to make a new weekly every week and would also give new creators more recognition and visibility with the ability to grow to become a larger creator within RecRoom.

And what if Rec Room sends a notification about the Current UGC Weekly Challenge so that most players can play the game for the weekly, thus equals more friends!

Olay not a bad idea just the amount of people having to add the circuit and what if the room doesnt have a goal? That’s what RROs are meant for, they have their own goals so id say for the players that aren’t playing RROs just send out an in-game announcement and a youtube vid on explaining weeklies again if they add it back the original way or that way too

Well for rooms like hangout rooms you’d have one to spend time in the room. Say like spend 15 minutes in the room.

I think this idea is neat however, I believe this should be implemented carefully.
Room’s should be hand-picked or reviewed to have the option to be in a weekly challenge. The example of spending 15 minutes in a room can already be measured by RecRoom. But for more nuanced challenges, those should be reviewed to be thrown into the mix.
This could definitely promote more activity in rooms and community collaboration between rooms, like seen in invasion events.
However, I think the rewards should be tweaked a little. Sure, UGC avatar studio items can be a reward, but I think people would appreciate rolling in new or old skins (since RecRoom has already completely abolished rare skins by selling them again), or a 5 star box, or expensive consumables, like a bubbly.
Overall interesting suggestion!
