Next Build Contest

Rather than having a Co-Owner who is a Rectuber or a well established Creator with 10,000+ Subscribers who Spam invites people to their Rooms/Events or appears online for all, why not have a Door that leads to a Room similar to how Rec Con is with several Doors with each Category (ex. Hangout Rooms, Art Rooms, Quests, etc) and get rid of the need for self Promotion due to the unfair advantage listed above.

IMO it seems like fairplay & great exposure for every Builders skills.

Yes i can agree with this statement

To be fair, I believe contest judges rank and decide which rooms win based on their own internal guidelines for a good room. (Which I assume is not influenced by room engagement).

I suggest they add a tab for contest room submissions right on the play menu and regular menu so people can actually engage with the rooms! That might be a better way of deterring people from finding “promoters” for their room who don’t really contribute to the room.

It kinda sucks because they still reap the rewards of winning a contest and taking those spots away from people who could have contributed.

I’m pretty sure its based off Room Engagement due to the fact during Contests the Event page was always flooded with Rooms that were related to the Build theme.

And to top that off 90% of contest winners didn’t earn it they only payed other people to build for them

I’m quite confident it’s not based off of engagement, and if it is, there is a severe lack of fairness in contests.

Can someone clue me in here why there might be contestants hosting events during the contest? Why is room engagement important in contests?

I feel like 90% is a bit of an overstatement. I feel that this issue only resides where there are open spots in projects where promoters try and fill.

I am referring to the new contests since around 2021
