Maker AI: Art/Image Generating on Canvas/Builder Items

I have just watched Slats video about MakerAI and some of the feature. I am heavily dissapointed by one thing AI Art/Images is apart of MakerAI. I originally supported Maker AI, thought there was potential for MakerAI to be useful and be a way to teach the Makerpen. But now I am highly dissappointed in MakerAI being able to generate Art and Images on to Items and specifically Art Canvases.

AI art/images does more bad then I think most people realize, Its hard to find good research articles about it because theres a lot more opinion based arguments online.

However AI Art And AI Images, when first introduced, people found it to be really cool till it was found that the AI Art was being trained on Artists real art work. (Without permission) Then it was found that you could find AI Art Bots that was trained only on one Artists work so that it only has their art style. (Again without permission) Then AI apps popped up for any person can use, well people started to take any image and art piece and put it in the machine. Which again the artists never gave permission to do so and people who had done it thinks its “better” but AI takes away the humanity in the artwork stolen. Most people who believe AI art is “better” then regular art is because either its easier for them, they don’t have to pay/ask an artist for work, and it profits them. People simply do not care about the moral to it or whats happening to those who draw.

RecRoom supporting this truly disgusts me. Its very dissapointing.

I see your point, But I just want to point out its not the full product, Who knows, they might reverse this feature, I honestly don’t see much wrong in AI generating, Yes I agree, its takes away the humanity and creativity out of it, but it cant be that bad, we should see the full product before judging it first.

I hope they remove this feature. AI Art/Images will never be good in my eyes. It is disheartening to see them do this instead of updating current art supplies in RecRoom. In the video by Slat, your able to say create whatever and put on this canvas or other items. My biggest worry is the misuse of AIbArt/Images. How will this look for Contests?
