It’s nice to have further customization for avatars, but this feels strange to look at. It’s like they’re miis.
I also think that trying to focus more and more on customization than patching known bugs, optimizations (it can’t even reach 60 fps on normal gameplay on quest 2), and most importantly, moderation.
Rec room is not fun anymore. All the top games are clones, and it’s difficult to find good content. With the fact that we have not gotten any updates to older RROS (rec royale has been in its season 1 for years now) and that we haven’t gotten a new quest RRO in who knows how long, this game does not have any reason to revisit anymore.
Because of this, a lot of content creators have outright quit youtube and rec room all together, simply because there’s nothing to make content about. It’s at the point where some CCs who are still around have started making videos about other games so that they can still make content.
I know that saying this won’t magically make everything better, but please, just fix your game.
I think it’s great i understand some may not like it but that’s perfectly fine i think letting us customers facial expressions and face shape is a great way to let the community express themselves actually how they’d like
What is this? Why rec room… WHY? Haven’t you damaged this game enough? This is very sad to watch my favorite game rot away before my very eyes. I will never forget the rec room we all used to know and love and will always cherish the perfected old bean avatar (BTW incase yall haven’t heard yet, they are removing old bean avatar soon). I will never forgive you rec room, even just because you thought this was a good idea is sorrowful and pitiful. 2019 was rec room at its PEAK. Ever since Covid in 2020 you greedy nuggets noticed that because everyone was quarantined in their homes that everyone was playing games more, kids too, so you saw your opportunity to make more cheap cash by gearing rec room toward Jr aged kids (more specifically brain rot kids). I can’t even begin to fathom what the thought process was to convince yourselves to mandate FBA/UBA. I will go to sleep at night restless, knowing that when I awaken, rec room is continually destroying itself. How could you do this to us! Yeah the title of this post speaks for itself, “The Future of YOU in Rec Room” (very demanding ngl) instead of “You Choose the Future of Rec Room”. I can truly say this from the bottom of my heart, rec room will be ruined after they remove old bean avatar (I’m expecting there to be a noticeable drop in the player base). I could go on and on about rec rooms indubitable downfall but I already wasted enough time typing this whole message. Why am I spending this much time on typing up a rant post that no one will see? Well Idk but I will also add that rec room is terribly optimized (yeah we all know) and has an inconceivable amount of bugs that your eldest grandpa couldn’t handle. Random total game crashes, infinite loading screen bug, hackers everywhere (a hacker was in ShowDown with a maker pen and giving other players a maker pen to. P.s check the leader board stats and behold the impossible to obtain high scores). Rec room, my fellow human beings, you have wasted my time, forcing me to type up this entire message while I am supposed to be doing my homework. My poor precious time that I cannot EVER take back. That before and after image at the beginning of this post looks like a downgrade. You want people to be able to “express themselves and their identity”, then DON’T remove old bean avatar, as that is removing a HUGE player base loved option. Here is my ending statement. Rec Room, use your brain and morals to realize and hear your player base and our needs. sincerely, Dakota~
These look pretty great in my opinion! Always down to see more customization. but I do think the implementation of Ear Shapes & Animated eyebrows (example: when you do an expression like the angry one. your eyebrows will do a little animation to fit that expression.) would make this update even better!
