Howdy everyone,
Around two years ago, before we had our own Creator Forums, we would send players to Feature Upvote to help gather and upvote different feature requests. This was a great tool for teams at Rec Room to see what was top of mind for players. With the creator forums we really expanded on this capability, so we’re going to begin to wind down the Feature Upvote boards on Monday, May 19th, 2025. This gives you a month to move over any requests you made in Feature Upvote that you don’t also have in the Creator Forums.
Below are the Feature Upvote boards on the left and their corresponding Creator Forum board on the right. If you see a request you’re passionate about, please feel free to migrate it to the Creator Forums! Just make sure to do a search in the creator forums first to ensure there isn’t already a post on that exact topic. When you do find posts you want to support, click into them, then click the blue ‘Vote’ button and leave a comment if you have additional thoughts.
Feature Upvote > Creator Forums:
Circuits > Feature Request - Circuits, Logic, Building Blocks category
General > Feature Request - General Creation category
Avatars > Feature Request - Avatars category
RRStudio > Feature Request - RRStudio category
Room 2.0 > Feature Request - Rooms 2 category
We’ve archived the Feature Upvote boards in their current states so that teams at Rec Room can revisit them to look over the feedback if necessary in the future. We won’t be approving any future posts or comments in Feature Upvote from this point onward so be sure to move those conversations over into the Creator Forum in the categories listed above.
Another good thing to remember when migrating posts or making a new post in the Creator Forum - each post should be as specific as possible. Posts like ‘25 things we want in Rooms 2.0’ are too broad and are hard for the team to process. Please break that post up into ‘8 lighting changes we need for R2’ and ‘4 locomotion circuits R2 needs’ and similar posts. That’s much easier for the team to review internally, and easier for other players to upvote and really signal what specific things they are interested in.
Cheers!
~ Shawn
