Hi Creators,

Here’s a quick update on Room Rewards. Starting with September’s calculations (paid out in early October), we’re streamlining the program by removing all R2-specific rates and bonuses.

This means:

  • No more R2 rates for engagement rewards

  • No more R2 rates for commerce rewards

  • The R2 hoodie bonus is also being retired

We originally introduced these elements to encourage creators to adopt R2, but our focus has shifted back to Rooms 1 where the majority of creation takes place. So we’re returning to a single, consistent Room Rewards rate for all creators across R1 and R2.

These changes also set the stage for new Room Rewards updates coming in October, furthering the program’s goal of encouraging and incentivizing the kinds of creation we want to see more of in Rec Room. We’ll share details on those changes before the end of September.

I wouldn’t mind you guys removing the bonuses(cause you are tight on money), but increasing the overall earnings you can get by like 10% or to a reasonable amount for the engagement rewards and the commerce rewards. Also the hoodie was cool, :frowning: I wanted that to stay.
