Rec Room should bring back Engagement Rewards Program

Rec Room getting rid of the engagement rewards is a terrible move because it destroys a ton of fundamental creation factors and rules that were necessary to keep the balance of playtime and purchasing in rooms in check. If you don’t have engagement rewards anymore, then brain rot garbage rooms can rise so easily because the rooms that have the most purchasable cosmetics that cost tokens are low quality, garbage rooms. This also makes creating quest rooms completely irrelevant because there is almost no way to efficiently monetize a quest room, even though most quests are insanely high-quality and are very well worked on and overall just one of the average best category of room. But if you get rid of the monetization that they can’t get anything from players playing the game even though that is the entire point of the quest games and it just screws this up. Also for graders, who don’t care about exchanging tokens for real life money, and basically only care about getting tokens in Rec Room from their rooms cannot do so without purchasing or plus, which was already needed to exchange tokens for real life money in the first place.

This is a real problem in Rec Room and I don’t think it would continue any longer. It does not promote the quality rooms. It makes an entire category of good rooms irrelevant and it makes a completely toxic environment. Ask yourself this in real life if Minecraft cost no money, and had no purchase items in game, would that make its worth almost nothing? Of course not! It would still be worth a ton of money because it has a ton of players who play it constantly. Now, what about a low quality game that has no good gameplay in it but has a ton of purchase will cosmetics and is kind of a one time play game and it’s very badly done but a ton of people by a ton of stuff in it does that mean that it is worth a ton of money? No! So therefore, Rec Room should not encourage this because this is not how it works in the real world with real games.

I see multiple ways they can fix this without destroying the economy and/war making it too hard for Rec Room as a company to earn money (although it was north for them before so I don’t see why they would do this now.)

1: add engagement, but for the brain rot, garbage, low quality rooms, make it so that that proper moderation overseeing the entire system and removing any rooms that do not deserve to have climbed high in these rankings and/or remove the stats of them by a certain percentage(example: if ^StealRecBrainrots can I in the monetization or engagement categories, because it is a low quality, brain, rot room, Rec Room could subtract a percentage of earnings, making it to so that the room only gains 10% of what it would normally.) This ensures that bathrooms only get less or none of what they would get if they were good quality.

2 you know how tokens in Rec Room are silver? Rec Room could make it so that the monetization category gets a different form of currency, which is worth the same amount as normal tokens, but are gold, and can be exchanged for real life money.

Edit: I get now that it’s not so urgent, but I do think it would be very helpful if they brought it back. (I also still think it’s kinda lazy on Rec Room’s part)
