will the rec room studio be opening to more platforms in the future?

No. Rec Room Studio is basicly a bunch of addons for the Unity Game Engine and Unity is PC & Mac Only! Therefore the answer is no unless the developers at Unity decide otherwise the answer is no. And the chance of them making unity avaliable on other platforms is so slim it will likely never happen.

This isn’t entirely helpful to some but to answer others who still want to use rec room studio anyway if you have a good Mac Or good GNU/Linux machine with plenty of ram like say 16 GB of ram and a good CPU and plenty of storage you could make a windows virtual machine like I did.

Basically, it can’t because Rec Room doesn’t have the power to give this kind of access. Only Untiy could.
