If you haven’t heard yet, Rec Room Studio is opening up to more creators! We’re making pro tools accessible to more users by lowering our requirements:
A Rec Room+ subscription is not required.
The required player level is now 20 instead of 30.
Creators must not have major moderation issues in the last 90 days.
We’re rolling out access to eligible accounts in phases over the coming weeks. You can see if you’re eligible by checking your status here: https://rec.net/creator/studio
If you’re eligible, you can fully access and publish with Rec Room Studio immediately! If not, you can still download and explore Studio tools and gain access in later phases.
For those already using Rec Room Studio, we’re introducing Fast Lane Access if you have Rec Room+ so that your builds are prioritized during peak hours.

So many new creators will have access to studio in the future and I’m hopeful to see creators from other platforms be able to join in without any roadblocks.
anyone know if a 1 hour voice ban counts towards the moderation? i had my friends account and he would scream no so friendly words so my account also got punished just voice bans
So because of this, when are creators going to be able to get access? I understand it’s rolled out to groups of people within weeks, but I just don’t fully understand authorization… I just need help understanding authorization
Minor voice-related bans like the one you mentioned shouldn’t affect your access to creator tools. As long as your account stays in good standing overall, you’re all set.
Once you’re included in the rollout, access to Rec Room Studio is granted instantly. Timing depends on when your account becomes eligible as we expand access—check out this post for more details!
Yes, permanent bans for Rec Room Studio can still be issued in cases of severe or repeated violations of our guidelines. We’re focused on keeping the space safe and productive for all creators
