Description
The makerpen grid, to my knowledge, has never been perfect, it is always slightly off, sometimes by nanometers, sometimes by centimeters. It doesn’t matter what tool you use, any tool that modifies the Scale, Rotation, or Position of an object on the grid will be very slightly off, never perfect. This is very noticeable when you start using circuits to get the position/rotation of objects, or Rec Room Studio to get the Position, Rotation, or Scale of objects
As you can see in the attached image, I have 4 Cube (Simple)
shapes meeting up in a corner, this is for my circuit back-board for making creation easier, the problem is very noticeable, despite the fact I made 1 perfect shape, and the only thing I did was clone this shape and move it around only on the X/Y axis, never forward/backward, these squares don’t meet flush with each other
Because of how broken the grid is, I am unable to tell what is precisely wrong, but its very obvious that either the Z position or Z scale has been messed up, despite me not touching either
This has been a problem I have had for so long with RecRoom, in RoomsV1, in RoomsV2, it doesn’t matter what tools I use (Manipulate/Scale), what snapping settings I use, or if I’m using World Grid/Local Grid, the grid always has these imperfections making stuff precise like this fully impossible
*Note, these objects were not moved around by any room saving issues or circuits, these objects were freshly remade because of how the previous circuit back-boards were slowly losing their precision over time, and yet within minutes I’m already suffering from grid issues (Being duplicated, moved around, re-scaled as more circuits are being placed)
