I’ve made some footnotes on this other post asking for exactly this as well.

Make It So Contributers/Co's Can Remove Themselves From Rooms Without Permissions

Add another way for Contributers and Co-owners to remove themselves from rooms even when they don’t have permissions to edit permissions, it would also be cool if it was possible to take yourself off of rooms without having to join the room.

I really would appreciate this as a feature!
