Contributor permissions are a great way to trial new potential collaborative partners before giving them co-owner access or to give temporary access for help. Contributors can help build out room content, but have more limited access to critical features around publishing, permissions, and room economics.
Originally only room owners were able to assign a contributor and edit what kind of permissions they get, but now players with all room roles have access to view the Permissions tab in room settings! This means contributors, and other roles can now remove themselves.
Note: This guide applies to any other roles as well - not just Contributor!
How to Assign a Contributor to your Room
- Click into your Room’s settings, and into the “Permissions” tab
- Scroll down until you see the “Contributor” section and click on the “add player” icon!
- Choose the creator you’d like to invite as a Contributor. They’ll have to accept the invite on their end (they can find it in their notifications) to be added officially!
How to edit specific types of permission from your room
- Click into your Room’s settings, and into the “Permissions” tab
- Scroll down until you see the “Contributor” section and click on the “setting” icon
- Toggle which permissions you’d like them to receive

NOTE: These permissions are all saved at the room-level as opposed to the existing permissions which all save at the subroom-level.
