New chip ideas for RR

hello humans. these are some things that could be very useful in RR

1 Custom UI WITHOUT RRS
2 Merge tool EDIT-THIS ONE NOT MATTER
3 Cookie Cutter tool ( this tool would act like this: there is the option of choosing square or sphere for the eraser. Then, when you use it a transparent sphere/square appears in the middle of your screen and everything it touches gets erased. Example: player makes a square, and then uses the cookie cutter on the square configuration, and moves the cutter square into the other square, creating the indentation of a square in the non-cutter square.)
4 Move Player Hand component ( this would work like an animation controller, with the ability to configure wether it move the left hand, right hand, or both. Then, when you edit it, it will show a model of a rec room player (Note: BEAN). And then you can move the hand/hands and add frames and everything like in a animation controller. So you can use the component, and make it look like your RR avatar is reloading a gun/custom gun.)
5 Disable VR Mode chip ( this chip would turn off a VR players VR capabilities, whether the bool is true or false. A disabled VR player acts like this; 1 When they move their headset, their body in RR moves with their head, so their head and body are always facing the same direction, exept up. 2 When they look at a grabbable object, “Grab” appears on their headset screen, and if they press the button used to grab on their console, it equips the weapon and the weapon always points forward and is on their screen in their headset. When they press the action button on their console, the weapon fires forward. The weapon moves when they move their HEAD, allowing it to face up. 3 They basically only have the abilitys of a player that is not a VR.)
6 custom promts ( For instance, if you want someone to get a notification about a sale on a gun in your game, you can customize what it looks like when they open their watch. The general modifications should be; you can rearrange the buttons and words, and maybe even add your own backround!)
7 custom in-game shop ( BTW i do not mean a customizable shop like the prompts. I mean, like theirs a shop button that you can add to the UI, and when you press it, it opens your watch and brings you to a in-game/room shop, that you will be able to edit and customize. This should be a option in settings, that is automatically disabled, and that you can turn on. If it is on, it should also be able to be accessable through your watch on the “This Room” tab. you should be able to move the buttons around, change the rows and columns, add your own filters, and stuff like that.)
8 player get is wearing item (this would be like if you typed in so that the item it is searching for is any type of wings, then if a player joins theyll be able to fly or whatever ya want)
9 custom car shell THIS ONE NOT MATTER EITHER
10 circut responses to live chat (for instance if a player curses or says a certain word then the chat says to them; “No cursing, 2 strikes until ban left” or something like that)
11 emitter element gas ( just realistic gas as an oprion on the emitter. but you can recolor it orange and itll look like real FIRE!)
12 add custom swatch ( this would be a button in the swatches menu, and if you press it then it basically brings you to a canvas with a magic marker in your watch. Then you draw whatever pattern you want on the canvas and save it, and then in swatches your swatch will be there and you can use it. If you use the swatch to recolor something it just prints the pattern you drew on the shape side by side. Example: player draws one yellow circle with a background of white as their swatch. When he uses it on a shape, it prints the circle over and over again side by side, making there be a bunch of yellow circles on the shape with a white background)
13 animation costume dummy (okay, this is the best one. it would be a full body costume dummy, exept when you edit it, it allows it to have the same properties as an animation controller. For instance, you can animate the way the costume dummy walks, runs, jumps, etc. And then if you equip it onto a player, that player walks or runs the way you animated the costume to. This could be very useful for RPs and adventure games if you want the player to look AND walk like a dog or cat or somthing.

For number 2 You can edit out and move objects witch seperates them and then i think theres another one its like parent object or create new container witch is a little annoying but it is a fix for merge until they make it better

Also i dont get number 5 (a little explanation and some grammer fixes might help!)

I think they mit have just added number 8 in rec rooms newist update

Number 9 was announced 3 rec cons ago now i think

Number 11 is possible in rrs but i think an ingame version of fire or gas would be cool

Number 12 is a little wierd but i think your saying custom materials (please varify if im wrong)

Explain number 13 a little better (i think your talking about makeing a custom avatar to RR like a mech of some kind but i feel this would be better if it was thought out more and explained a little better)

14 is kinda like events but i dont think RR allows it yet (btw i think you mean cross-instance not subroom)

15 most likely wouldn’t be added (even though its a great idea) Rec room trys to let people chose there personal space and if you were able to turn it off it would be a concern to some

Also as a Note try to flesh some of these concepts out into individual posts most people wont look at a post that just says stuff RR should add and some of these are Really Good Ideas! i think if you put these in individual posts fleshed them out mabye even put some examples in with pictures or videos i think more people would agree and look at the post in general!

No idea. I can write one down and fill it out button it just goes “ERROR” and i can make anymore

although i think i might of broken it by overspamming a bit when figuring out how this forum thing works.

how would custom UI without RRS even work? if you have used RRS then you would know that you use many assets, how would you handle those assets in rec room itself? oh wait! you cant! custom UI is staying with RRS

OK you have a point, i don’t have RRS, but couldn’t it just be like a simple button UI? It could be like a Custom UI Button Constant, with a Set Player Custom UI Button chip. And it could be like this; if you configure the Custom UI Button Constant, then a option to edit the UI button appears. if you select it, it brings you to a photo of a players current UI, with markers or whatever to draw your button, and whenever that UI button is selected by a player, it sends a signal to a “Get Custom UI Button Pressed” and will trigger an execution port. Or you could just rearrange the current UI with the option of making some of the buttons smaller.

the issue arises when you realize buttons have a lot more properties, plus, thats just a button, not a whole UI, i hate to break it to you but it wont happen anytime soon
