I want edit player in rec room studio because i can make mesh and allow player to use or add effect on player like one pic i forget name but it was blue effect on his avatar it was cool but i can’t find out how to edit player
Could you be a bit more specific? What do you mean by “edit player”.
If you’re talking about editing the players avatar, you’ll need Avatar Studio access. Right now it’s only rolled out to a hand full of people, but access to play around with the software(Blender) will be rolled out in the near future.
You can find more information here: Avatar Studio
I’m sorry and i was not talk about make avatar i do want access but i was talk about edit player’s avatar and their model like if i add cloth then cloth not have list of player i need find then put in cloth of file then player can move cloth arou8nd like banner or flag
If you still not understand then i could show you in my room then maybe it will help you understand better
I’m still not quite sure what your asking as there are quite a few grammatical errors in your question.
But here’s what I got from that, you want to add effects/particles or a mesh to a player? If so this would involve setting the position of your particle system or mesh to the position of the player.
I think it better if i show you in my room and join me

I’m not going to be able to join your room, especially if it’s RecRoom Studio related. Can you send pictures here to describe your issue?
what you mean you not able join me? i’m get on vr already
This looks similar to what I was talking about earlier. Use a “Set Position” and set the position of those particle systems to the position of the player.
You can do this by getting the position of the player with a “Get Position” chip and a “Get Local Player” chip.
No I mean I want player’s hand touch cloth then cloth move but let me show you and I’m send video to you in discord
It sounds like you’re talking about being able to interact with a mesh and move it around when your hand touches it.
That requires a built-in system like “Phys Bones” that’s what makes bones interactable in VRChat, currently to my knowledge this isn’t possible in RecRoom.
What you can maybe do to get around this is creating your own bone physics system with circuits to detect when a hand is near a mesh and set the transform of those bones through studio functions.
From what i know one of my freinds was able to do this in rec room with alot of very complicated RRS stuff and it barely loaded in vr with nothing in the room other then the cloth and a table twas a solid 15 fps and lower
Could you add me in rec room with your friends so we can discuss more further?
The giy whos made it doesn’t play or make RR games anymore i haven’t talked to them in about a year
it sounds like he might be meaning about literally attaching the cloth to a player, kind of like what a costume dummy does, though i think you can pretty much exactly replicate the effect from a local perspective with no detachment by using the update chip (not the update 30hz btw). But the downside is that it’ll still look disconnected from others perspectives. A way to get around this would be having the object set its local position using the studio component events but this would use a little more extra cpu that i personally would be comfortable with (i don’t know about others) the more players there are in the room. I estimate about 15-24% more cpu for a full 40 player game.
This got me thinking, what does the update circuit read for when to update? Is it like every frame circuit update or maybe it uses the same update times as when, for example, the players body updates position.
Nah I’m not talk about attach cloth to player
I’m talking about edit player’s mesh and file so I can get player in list of cloth then player can interact with cloth by touch them
Are you saying you want to kind of mirror a player’s movements to a rig? similar how bonkey’s outfit works?
Nah i can do that with Cv2 but no not that what i was talking about bruv how nobody get what i talk about
No this wouldn’t work because RR wouldnt let you do this Even with AS (Avatar Studio) because i dont Think you can edit a players mesh like this
