Configurability Comes to Rec Room Studio!

As we expand Rec Room Studio to more of the community, we’re always looking for ways to make it more powerful and intuitive. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce a major new feature: configurability within Rec Room Studio!

With this update, creators can configure and modify objects directly within Rec Room Studio—no more jumping in and out of the game to fine-tune your room. This means smoother workflows, faster edits, and more time to focus on what you do best: creating awesome experiences.

How does this work?

Before this update, adding objects through Rec Room Studio was the first step and creators would then have to jump in-game to tweak the settings. Now, you can configure objects right in Rec Room Studio itself.

For example, you can adjust the fire rate and ammo capacity of the gun —no need to switch platforms or tools!

To make things even easier, you can even apply changes to multiple objects all at once if they share the same settings.

List of objects that are fully configurable

It’s important to note that while all objects are now configurable within Rec Room Studio, we are still in the process of porting over all of the settings for all objects. We’ve included the list of objects we have brought to full parity below, and we will keep adding over the next few months until we’re at total parity.

I don’t have this feature. It didn’t give me the configure feature (Im using Room 2.0)

This is such a valuable feature that I never even thought about. This will help speed up creation a lot.
