Circuits for objects

It would be useful to have things like:

  1. Rec room object set is grabbable
  2. Rec room object set collisions enabled
  3. Rec room object set physics enabled
  4. Rec room object set gravity enabled
  5. Rec room object set mass
  6. Rec room object set scale
  7. Rec room object set color
  8. Rec room object set material
  9. Rec room object set invisible
  10. Rec room object set opacity
  11. Rec room object set parent object
  12. Rec room object separate from parent
  13. Rec room object set reflectivity
  14. Rec room object set material scale

But overall, it would just be good to have chips that can configure objects, like you can when manually using a maker pen, especially for things like replicated objects.

Also, it might be good to have an option for objects to be synced or unsynced when configuring an object.

Having these settings would be extremely useful for customizing objects in Rec Room!

It would be good for 2.0 'cause they don’t have roles or anything except from player properties, but you can use inventory and offer for this but I still like the idea

If they ever add chips like these, I sure hope they aren’t exclusive to 2.0

It would also be quite useful to have chips that can set an object’s parent object and separate objects. Also maybe a chip to make objects invisible would be useful.

Changing scale, color, and material are all things I have wanted for a long time.

These chips would be very useful for objects in replicators, as it would reduce the amount of replicators you need for the same object, for example, you could have the same gun with different colours with the same replicator, or have coins or things at different sizes from the same replicator which would decrease the amount of objects you need in one room, reducing lag and loading times.

I’m not sure about how 11 and 12 would work, but it could reduce lag with many objects, and also allow new game mechanics.

Would synced and unsynced objects work in rec room or would it just not work?

They already exist via rrs

it would definitely work, they devs are always complaining about having objects synced so it would be easy for them to make an option to have things unsynced. Also you can do unsynced objects in RRS so that is something that shows it’s possible for them to have normal recroom objects unsynced.
