Inventory items equipping function

I’ve recently Had a thought in regards to inventory items and how they’re currently setup, at this time, we have the ability to enable “equipping” of inventory items to equipment slots as well as a functional “Use” button to define what can be done with said inventory item, we don’t have all too much to work with here, and sometimes Equipping something isn’t really the best option or required in some aspects of gameplay (depending on your own game and use case)

The purpose of this post is to request for an additional feature to be added into inventory items, if “Equip” is enabled, we should also have an additional option to toggle on and off the ability to then set said inventory item into an equipment slot, my reasoning for this is I’m making weapons for a game I’m making and I like the idea of dedicating “equipping” the item to actually spawn it and then use it, but I don’t like how it requires you to choose an equipment slot for said item to go into, it just feels like a pointless secondary page for my own use case, the reasoning why I’m also using “Equip” as a way to physically equip said item is because I’ve dedicated the “use” button as a weapon stat checker, so you can uniquely see your weapons damaged critical damage, crafting quality ect

TLDR
Allow us to toggle on and off the equipping items to equipment slots as not every possible item should be forced to require it
