How to get darkest possible skybox without RRS

I know some of you hate being stuck with the bluish dark tint that RecRoom offers with mood settings and chips, however there is a way to get it darker. This is a quick tutorial to show you how to get the darkest skybox if you don’t have RecRoom Studio.

Go to, Your Room / Settings / Sub-rooms / Your sub-room / Sub-room Mood
Then set your sub-room mood to “Stunt runner”.

Spawn these four mood chips.

Configure the “Skydome Constant” and set each skydome color to “#000000” (keep in mind RecRoom’s “black” is actually “#191717” which is slightly lighter.)

Then scroll down and hit “Set as Room Default”.

Configure the “Sun Constant” and set each slider to zero, and save it to the room by hitting “Set as Room Default”.

Configure the “Fog Constant” and set the fog color to black and the start and end distance to 9000 and 9999 respectively. This will remove the fog in your room. Save it by hitting “Set as Room Default”.

Configure the “Background Objects Constant” and set each setting to “none”, this will remove any pesky clouds, stars and mountains. Remember to save it!

Now the room is pretty dark, however you can still make it darker by constructing a cube skybox around your playable area. Recolor your material to cardboard and the color to #000000. Scale this cube, and there’s your (nearly) pitch black skybox.
