I’m just sick and tired of seeing or hearing Brainrot, or Gen Alpha slang in Rec Room. It annoys me to death, and I don’t want to witness this anymore. Rooms such as “SCP-067” or “Steal a Brainrot,” Brainrot UGC Items, you name it. It’s all just there to be iPad kid bait.
I know what you’re thinking, “So what? It’s just content.” No, this stuff isn’t good for our mental health.
WHAT IS BRAINROT?
Low quality content that is designed to make you an idiot
I think it should be illegal and it shouldn’t exist in the first place because…
- It’s not even funny. Why do people think stuff like “67” and “41”, are actually funny. It’s just stupid and annoying. Even teachers hate it when their students say it at school.
- According to my research, it states that brainrot content from platforms such as TikTok for example, can actually rot your brain, hence the name, with the flashy colors, quick cuts, fast pace, and loud sounds. It hinders Gen Alpha’s IQ, literacy skills, language skills, and ability to think properly. It also affects their mental health.
- AI Slop content on Rec Room can also be a major problem because it makes creators lazy, and also the reason why most of the Rec Room Staff got laid off. They say AI is like “Magic,” but the true “magic” is creativity and imagination. Plus, it even makes it harder to tell if something is man-made or not, or what is true or false.
- Making and selling brainrot content is basically a way for creators to make quick cash with low-effort garbage.
- It may be inappropriate because there are some little kids playing on Rec Room who aren’t on a junior account, or some inappropriate rooms that have the #junior tag on them. It’s basically Rec Room’s version of Elsagate, and it has to stop now.
- Most people are trying to normalize brainrot, because they actually don’t realize it’s rotting your brains. When they think of brainrot, they think, “haha this is funny,” but when I think of it, it is not healthy.
Thank you for reading, and feel free to look at my research if you can.
