Whenever I use the animation gizmo (both Cv1 & Cv2), it constantly glitches. For example, when I try to create a simple back-and-forth animation, it always moves by going forward, then up, circling down, and finally moving left. I just want it to move in a straight line, but instead, it behaves like this. This issue has been affecting me and my colleagues since around 2023. If anyone knows how to fix this by adjusting a setting or anything else, please let me know!
Have you tried making an animation using ping pong mode with only 2 frames?
Yes, I tried doing that
What about making sure each frame has “smooth” turned off? I know sometimes that’ll cause unwanted movement if turned on
Thank you, I will try doing that
If your using rooms 2.0 you kinda just have to deal with it cus they haven’t fixed it
If the pivot is a distance away from the object/objects it will cause some animations to do that, just remove it from the animation (very important step!), edit the object, select all of the shapes inside of it, click “options” (takes a bit for the button to appear) and click “center pivot on selection”.
this isnt just vr its every single platforn
I suggest you submit this in Bug Reports - Creator Forum
It will help make this issue known. Give as much detail as you can!
yeah its usually just because of smooth

Ensure that your keyframes are set correctly. Sometimes, unwanted movements can occur if the keyframes are not aligned properly.

Try using the ping-pong mode with only two keyframes. This can help create a simple back-and-forth animation without additional movements
