This was made specifically for my friend’s use since his camera setup was too much of a mess to record some partial mixed reality edits, basically putting your rec room character into real life photos.
You can do this with the following applications
Blender for visualizing the camera (This is optional)
fSpy to map still images and get the estimated camera position.
This can only do stationary photos / videos, slight shifts of the camera will ruin it.
I hate to say it, but this likely goes against Rec Room’s Code of Conduct. “Do not share personal information (real name, address, passwords, etc.” Nothing personal, but this is private stuff, and Rec Room probably won’t allow it.
@DVader51, this image is composited, if your the type of person to provide feedback without really experiencing it, that’s honestly fair for that concern.
This is done in a chroma-key room with the camera aligned to the background footage the players in the photo are color-corrected to make it look more authentic (the dude on the left is partially keyed out incorrectly for some reason).
