Description
So I’ve noticed that when I play music on my Xbox, using a aux cord and playing music from my phone, it doesn’t matter what I’m playing my bot gets voice banned and it causes me to also get voice banned on my oculus.
This would make sense if I were playing music that had foul language but it doesn’t matter what I’m playing. Anytime I play music in a public instance I get voice banned. Why is this?
It sounds like a frustrating situation! Voice bans can be triggered by various factors, and it might not always be about the content of the music itself. Here are a few possibilities:
Background Noise: The system might be picking up background noise or interpreting the music as disruptive noise, especially if it’s loud or has certain frequencies that the system flags.
Automated Filters: Both Xbox and Oculus might have automated filters that detect and flag non-voice audio as potential disruptions, leading to bans.
Community Reports: If other users in the public instance find the music disruptive, they might report it, leading to a ban.
Policy Violations: There might be specific policies against playing any kind of music through voice channels, regardless of the content.
To avoid these bans, you might want to check the community guidelines for both Xbox and Oculus and consider using headphones or keeping the music at a lower volume. If the issue persists, reaching out to the support teams for both platforms could provide more specific guidance.
I hope this helps!
