'Skill tree' system for learning circuits

It’s no secret that circuits are one of the most intimidating topics for a newcomer in Rec Room to approach.
For many, it’s their first time working with a logic language, and that can feel overwhelming.

During a recent discussion I was having, an idea came up: What if we introduced levels or skill trees for chips? What if learning circuits had a bit of gamification?

POV:
We have an opt-out unlock system for circuits, where aspiring circuiteers start with just the basics. As they progress, they’re temporarily given access to new chips along with example graphs to complete using those chips.
Once they’ve built the graphs themselves and seen how the circuits work in practice, they unlock the chips for keeps—because now, they know how to apply them.

It’s a hands-on, interactive way to learn and grow with circuits, turning what can be a daunting process into something more intuitive and rewarding.

I’m just spitballing for now, but if the idea gets some traction I’ll flesh it out in more detail.

I kinda like this idea and ill keep checking in on it to see where it goes for now im goi g to brainstorm on what i think this would look like and how it would even fit in RR

Each chip has it’s function and most of the time, you don’t need to know other chips’ functions just to implement the specific one.

Each player has their own cv2 system needs: one may need an elevator using a piston, one may want to make a clicker game using variables, or a pvp using combatant chips and events, or force system using vectors, or draw a circle using cos and sin. It’d be hard to sort chips by complexity, because everyone has their own needs and not always have to learn other “simpler” chips just to make what they really need. Also everyone has their own learning pace and one can understand how cv2 works just by looking at a graph, while others may need more time.

I think it would be more like a tutorial room kinda like the classes that Rec Room already has in the campus area

if i where to make somthing in RR like this i would make it more like a how to use this chip like if you dont know how to use raycast you go to the room and it tells you what the raycast does by selecting the raycast

Maybe like a Khan Academy class? Where you have lessons and other resources you can watch to learn more about certain setups, chips, etc. ?
