There is a major glitching going on in Rec Room for IOS. It has been increasing in glichyness pover the past month. 6 months ago i was in one of my rooms with a crazy 95% ink in it, and it glitched once in three hours. Now i tried to build in a room with 1% ink and i glitched after abot a minute. I load into Rec Room fine, i pop up in my dorm, and if i dont do anything i glitch in about 30 seconds. I cant even join rooms like ^Paintball, because by the time it loads i spawn in, then glitch off. This is a big problem that is happening with every IOS player i know. This is also very much impacting me because i was working on a room till these glitches came and now i can"t. A huge percentage of Rec Rooms players are (or were) IOS, and if you lose these players, youre losing a lot. I dont know if its Rec Room adding a bunch of new things or payers making rooms or items or what, but it NEEDS to be fixed. (also im using one of the best IOS devices there is, so it is not my device). If you have also been expierencing this bug, please say so in the comments.

Let’s try a “clean reinstall”. Also note that I won’t step through how to do these steps as the parents should be the ones doing these steps, not the kids.
Parents: If you don’t know how to do these steps, ask Apple or your Phone Carrier for assistance… and please be mindful of scammers – the real helpers will NEVER ask you to give them your login credentials / some ID on the device, or install an app – these steps I provided would only require you to enter the password / etc. on the device itself, not tell it to someone else.

IMPORTANT: We will be deleting all of the data of the Rec Room app which is stored on the device and on your iCloud so make sure you know your login name and you have set your password (and still know it) along with having access to the email address that it is using (as a fallback if needed).
NOTE: Your account, along with all your tokens, purchased items and any RR+ membership status (along with any bans / etc.) will be kept as they are stored on Rec Room’s own servers.

  1. Go and check if there is any data in the iCloud for Rec Room. If there is, you must delete it while the app is still installed.
  2. Uninstall Rec Room along with its data.
  3. Wait about a minute (this is to make sure it properly uninstalls the app and notifies Apple’s servers properly).
  4. Hold the power button and release it after the power off menu shows up.
  5. Restart.
  6. After it boots up and you unlock the device, let it sit for about 5 minutes (this is to let it sync up with all the currently installed apps & games).
  7. Install Rec Room.
  8. Log in under your account (remember that we deleted every bit of data on the app from your iOS device, which is why the login and password is needed now to access it)
