Whenever I load up rec room on my Xbox series s it freezes my controller so I have to manually turn off my Xbox from the Xbox and once turned back on fine until I load up rec room again, and the cycle repeats. Sometimes I can get past it without my controller freezing but then it will just be stuck forever when loading my dorm.

If your controller is 3rd Party (not an Xbox branded controller)

  1. Connect your main xbox controller
  2. Contact controller manufacture

If your controller is Xbox Branded

  1. Check for Updates: Ensure that both your Xbox and Rec Room are fully updated. Sometimes, bugs are fixed in newer updates.
  2. Clear Cache:
  • Power off your Xbox completely.
  • Unplug it from the power source for about 10 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on. This can help clear temporary files that might be causing issues.
  1. Reinstall Rec Room: Uninstall the game and then reinstall it. This can fix corrupted files that may be causing the freezing.
  2. Check Storage Space: Make sure you have enough free space on your Xbox. Low storage can sometimes lead to performance issues.
  3. Test Other Games: Try playing other games to see if the issue is specific to Rec Room or if it happens with other titles as well.
  4. Controller Sync: If your controller is freezing, try re-syncing it. Disconnect and then reconnect it to ensure a stable connection.

I restarted my Xbox and it all works, idk if it was rec room, my internet or the xbox
