Reproduction Steps

Create an object, add a subobject, put a seat in that subobject, try to send a message to the seat object (and its authority). The message does not send.

Description

An object inside of a sub-container cannot receive a message. The message can send to the room-level object. That behavior is fine for cpu efficiency, however, the i information text for the Message Sender chip should be changed to clarify that. The current text says “hierarchy object” (which seems to include subobjects).

Are you sure your Message Sender are configured to send to Receivers in ‘The Entire Room’ or that you’re properly giving the container that you want the Message Sender to send a Message event to?

Yes. Everything was configured correctly. I was sending to a seat object, though, and that had issues as a parameter too, so it might be just seat related.
