I have two ways that Rec Room can bring back Weekly Challenges, as well as concepts for each idea:
1. Season Exclusive Weekly Challenges
These could be locked only for when a Season is happening, and could not only give you XP for completing them, but could also give you a free reward, once you complete all 5, whether it be a preselected reward, a box with a random Season Related item, or just a 4/5 Star Box.
2. RRO Themed Weekly Challenges
For this example, I used Rec Royale, since there is a Rec Royale 2 pass coming out soon. It would be pretty much the same as the Season Challenges.
Weeklies were great partially for the same reason the Rec Center and RROs are great, people see it and think “that’s the main area, that’s where i can expect to find lots of people”, it would push increased activity to those areas for that week. I would see the usually quiet Rec Rally and enjoy playing it since more people would be in there grinding for the weekly!
I also love the more specific challenges in your example image, i wish i played Rec Room back when the challenges were alot more specific like hitting multiple people with a shotgun blast, or blocking a certain number of shots with a paintball shield.
