The Rec Room Studio team would like to continue expanding access to everyone who qualifies but is not able to make that move yet. In the meantime we’re interested to see how many people will apply for access manually who want it.
If we get a lot of applications we may not be able to review all of them. This is an experiment to see if the RRStudio team can manage the number of access requests we get via this forum post. We likely wont have time to let each individual know if they were approved or denied access. If you are given access you will notice this page change to let you know you now have access: https://rec.net/creator/studio Refreshing that page will be your indication that you were / weren’t given access.
If we get too many applications and the team is not able to review all of them we may freeze or delete this thread. Again this is an experiment to see if we can give a small number of highly motivated players RRStudio access while the rollout largely remains paused for now.
To apply post these details:
The Rec Room account username you want to receive access. This should match your rec.net login (you can only apply for yourself)
Why do you want RRStudio access? A specific project you want to build or use case is helpful.
RRStudio needs a Win 10 or newer PC to run along with other requirements listed here: Introduction | The Community RR Studio Manual Please reply ‘Yes’ here to let us know you understand and can meet all of these requirements.
I want access to rec room studios so I can continue my work on a survival game, and for future projects to make the rec room community larger, overall just want to use my creativity to the largest scale I can.
I want recroom studio for my map in the making i realized this can help me out by importing new things into the map via this feature i have wanted it for a long time and now i need it to finish building my detailed city.
RRStudio would be a very useful tool for cooler aspects of my rooms like UI’s and custom cutscenes with the Video Player ect, Plus I’ve worked with unity previously and have a in-depth understanding of it, so i’d be able to do some cool experiments for possible room ideas, Especially when it comes to creating within Rooms2 and making full experiences.
I would like access to Rec Room Studio for my map currently in development. I’ve realized that this tool can significantly help by allowing me to import new assets and elements into the map. I’ve wanted to use Rec Room Studio for a long time, and now it’s essential for completing the detailed work on my project. Additionally, I’m currently being taught by an official Rec Room Studio Teacher, which will ensure I use the tool effectively.
I’m a what I’d say successful game developer, having being able to build a small community on Discord meanwhile maintaining popularity and playrates on my game(s), and having RRS access would greatly improve the quality of my games as not only would it allow me and my team to import our own models made outside of RRS, but also create stuff we aren’t normally able to create like custom UI.
Yes, I can run it. I have before, I just can’t publish.
I previously had access to rec room studio during its beta phase and it got removed (i assume) because i stopped paying for RR+ back when it was needed
Im working on a new game that would be improved with 3D models and skyboxes however i cant import them without rec room studio and i also want to edit and update my previous rooms that had studio on them
I would like rec room studios so I can make different particles or terrain for my PvP game I’m currently working on. It would help me immensely, when it comes to bring immersion to the players.
I would like to gain access to Rec Room Studio to upload an project that I’ve been working on for a while for an
project called “Virtual Worlds Museum”, researching into different digital platforms, to connect other Virtual Social Platforms together.
Furthermore, I’ll be able to create mini-experiences within Rec Room as I have previous experience using C# and the Unity Engine alone.
Yes, I have read and understand all of the requirements.
I do have an Windows 11 Gaming-Capable PC with extensive graphics and CPU Power.
Good afternoon, I would like RRStudio access for my future creations, especially considering I want to expand upon 3D Modelling and Coding, and understanding the Unity Engine in a few aspects, whilst being apart of a community in some respects. I also would like to use it in order to take the time to learn and experiment within it, so I can see what can be done in terms of RecRoom and utilize it as a basis to game development on unity, and also explore the oppertunities it may carry, As much respect as the makerpen is, I want to be able to not be limited to it. Especially considering Rooms 2.0 potential, may assist in my ideas.
• My PC Meets the requirements, and ive already installed the Beta of RRStudio, And played around with it for abit.
I want RRStudio access to build more complex and creative rooms in Rec Room. I have more than basic Unity experience and want to see what I can make using it.
