Hi everyone does everyone know how the work dialogue ui rec room rank system has been researched on YouTube no video rank system dialogue
Well, a player world UI system is what I’m assuming you’re talking about. A system such as this is simple if you want a permanent “rank” you would want to get a cloud string variable and that you would set as their “rank” I’d suggest going to the official discord server as there are explanations in there. Remember that there are YouTube videos even if you didn’t find them there are “Rec Room Ranking System” Videos you just gotta look! And don’t be ashamed if you have to look at other’s inventions to learn how they did it just don’t steal circuit for circuit!
No theres a circuit called dialog ui its what the people in my little monsters use to talk to players i barely know how to use it though
Thats a gadget. If you spawn it then im sure you can figure out how to use it using the chip. (Yes its in 1.0 and 2.0 rooms as far as I know)
Dialougue UI is beta content, so it is in R2 and R1 you just need beta content on to use it
Im here to help
PS Im not an AI
you’re looking for information on how to use the dialogue UI and rank system in Rec Room.
- Spawn the Dialogue UI Gadget: You can find this gadget in the Maker Pen menu under Gadgets.
- Configure the Dialogue: Use the configuration options to set up the dialogue text, choices, and responses.
- Connect to Circuits: Link the dialogue UI to other circuits to trigger events based on player choices.
can i get acess to publish things on rec room studios i have my file and the unity hub and rec room studios
You need to wait for them to update your RRS so you can create items.
THIS IS A SOLUTION
Easiest way to add ranks is with the beta content room Level system, to do this enable beta content, to do this you need to go to the “this room” section in your watch and select “room settings” scroll down untill you see “allow creator tools beta content” and toggle it on. When you do that, you will have to enable room progression in the settings it should show up at the top. To add levels to the game you need a “room levels chip,” configure it and select whatever button that doesn’t say room contributer lock (i don’t remember what the button says) and add levels using the buttons at the top. To change the players level you will need to use the “XP add” chip (something with a name like that) use the “world UI” chip and you should be able to make this last step (use a to string with the input as the player’s level (search for get level in palette) if you struggle with changing the world UI)
