25 new Sci-Fi assets (inventions)

Hey everyone!

In order to help creators get into the Sci-Fi Fest spirit the art team wanted to release another asset pack (invention pack) for creators. This scifi invention pack is live now and is made up of objects you can find in Jumbotron and Laser Tag. We hope these inventions will make it easier for creators to build more fun scifi rooms and experiences :alien::milky_way: You can find a full list of the 25 new inventions here.

Where can I find them and how do I use them?
You can find these new inventions using this flow: Watch menu > Store > Inventions > scroll down 10 stripes to ‘Made by Rec Room’ > click ‘View More’ on the right > search for asset name (most of the assets start with ‘scifi’ but you can find the full asset names above using the link). Save them to your Palette then place them using your Maker Pen like any other invention.

Let us know if you have any feedback on these inventions or if you have other sets of inventions you’d like to see Rec Room add.

with the recent bowling shoes being added for FBA could we maybe see new bowling props like the juke box and some tables and chairs :eyes:

Hey, I want an Easter Pop up Shop in the Rec Center next week. We didn’t get one last year.

Rooms 2 is the future! All efforts to provide new inventions and asset packs will be in support of improving R2.

Can we get these as a .unitypackage please?

at least bring something to rooms 1.0
some creators don’t understand 2.0 and would like some assets like theses to come to 1.0!
and some creators don’t even have RRS nor a computer to use RRS…
i dont really love the idea of Rooms 2 being default should just stay with rooms 1.0
