Room Rich Presence

Feature Request: Custom Room Rich Presence

For a while now I feel like the Player Status for rooms has been pretty boring and basic. I think Creators should be able to customize their “Room Rich Presence” kinda like how Discord apps do it!

How it would work: Add a new chip called Local Player Set Room Presence that lets Creators dynamically change what shows up on a player’s status. This way we could display actually useful info about what’s happening in the game instead of just “Playing [Room Name]”.

Some examples of what this could show:

Battle Royale/Last Man Standing:

  • “In Match - 12 players left”

  • “Spectating - Final 3”

Racing/Timed stuff:

  • “Racing - Lap 2/3”

  • “Survived for 15:42”

Lobbies:

  • “In Lobby - 4/8 players”

  • “Picking a loadout”

Story/Quest rooms:

  • “Act 2”

  • “Slaying some goblins!”

Why this would be cool:

  • Your friends can actually see what you’re doing and know if they should join

  • Makes rooms feel way more alive when you can see real activity

  • Creators can show off the exciting parts of their rooms

  • Just overall makes the social aspect better

Stuff to consider:

  • Probably need some rate limiting so people don’t spam updates

  • Maybe a character limit? Like 100 characters max

  • Could have some preset templates for common things

Let me know what you think!

This is a Fantastic Idea! I and basically everyone else who makes games would love this feature! Should it be a main priority? no. But if they were to somehow find a way to put this in a update. I’d be beyond happy!
