New Watch menu or Addon Request

Hi Rec Room team,

I wanted to give some feedback and make a request regarding the current watch menu. A little while ago, we were told a new menu was coming and for a brief time, we got to see it in action. However, it was only available for a few days before being removed, which was really disappointing.

The current menu feels overly complicated, especially for new players. It’s also very bright, which can be uncomfortable particularly in VR. Many of us really miss the old watch menu that was darker, simpler, and had that classic dark purple theme. It was not only easier on the eyes but also much more VR friendly.

If it’s not possible to bring back the new menu that was being tested, could we at least get a Dark mode option or an “OG mode” setting that allows us to use the original dark purple more minimal design.

I appreciate the goal with the in-the-works Widget Watch, but i don’t really like it personally, at least not the structure of it, i was upset when we changed from the 3DUI to the 2DUI but i at least understood where everything was supposed to be really quick. The Widget Watch i constantly have to stop and think about where everything is, things need to be clumped together better and be more clear whether or not they’re a button.
It’s this awkward inbetween of a full menu and a quick-access menu which i just feel doesn’t really have a place in most any game.
