Description

Using the quest browser to play music simply does not work when you launch recroom at the same time. This works with other games perfectly except recroom. This has been an issue for a very long time please fix :pray: I love to listen to music while I play games…

This one is irritating. I used to work circuits while having Spotify play in the background, but that doesn’t work anymore. For some reason discord pings will play while playing Rec Room. However, I don’t know if this is a Meta problem or a Rec Room problem.

Well from what I know, it works on every game I’ve played on quest 3 except for recroom. Recroom,.

I’m pretty sure it’s a Rec Room-specific issue, yeah. For now you can at least get around it if you manage to make the audio play after you close the universal menu to get back into Rec Room. For example, if i skip to the next video in a Youtube playlist or change the video quality and then quickly go back to Rec Room before it loads, the audio will play until the next time i open and close the universal menu without doing this.

I havnt tried this yet but I felt like Ive tried everything!. Nothing works and all workarounds just don’t work at all. I tried permissions and hidden perms using Sidequest but nothing works so it must be recroom for sure. I hope whatever it is they fix it, miss listening to music while I work on projects…

This workaround works, i’ve been using it regularly since the update that broke it
Just click next in a playlist, or change the video quality, and immediately press the home button as soon as you can to quickly get back in-game before it loads.

I’m pretty sure it only happens on YouTube on your browser when playing Rec Room, Spotify works, so I think you should use Spotify if you use it.

Actually I’ve tried Spotify on my browser, it doesn’t work. @JebGaming did mention swapping videos through a playlist does work, but it cuts off recrooms audio completely.
