So most people who use custom colors already know this problom but if you don’t know every custom color is faded and more gray then the color it looks like you chose is different then what you chose and they change the basic colors
(In the pictures below the top colors are the basic rec room colors and the bottom colors are the custom colors)
The black and white picture are me makeing pure white and pure black but they fade for some reason
(The other pictures from the maker pen are the colors I used for black and white and they don’t look the same at all)
The rainbow picture is me takeing the basic rec room color on the pallet and pressing the custom button without editing the color at all it still changes for some reason
(Exept blue for some reason)

Ive tested with other materials and lighting either way the rec room colors should be the same as the ones below them but there not, even though i only pressed the custom color button
This has been an issue that has plagued me for a long time. The color you choose or input is never actually the color you get.
This is due to one reason, RecRoom is for some reason compressing or rounding colors. You can try it yourself, if you type in #000000 or #FFFFFFand it will snap to #0F0F0F or #F0F0F0.
And almost every color you select will appear to be slightly less saturated. I hope they fix this. To my knowledge colors shouldn’t take up any more data than a 32 bit integer. There’s 16,777,216 colors, and that takes 24 bits to store.
